"Our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death and hath brought life" (2 Timothy 1:10) Back in the nineteenth century, president Lincoln made a new law to abolish slavery. Slaves were set free from a terrible life of misery. The Lord Jesus died on behalf of sinners and rose again from the dead! He has abolished the rule of death! If our trust is in him as our Lord and Saviour, our bodies may die, but we will be immediately with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven, the one who alone has the power to do away with death and to give eternal life. The gift of eternal life can be yours as a present possesion if you will recieve the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Will you?
